By Air
Manchester International Airport
Manchester boasts one of the world’s leading international airports with seventy airlines flying directly to over 160 world-wide destinations. More than 20 million passengers passed through the airport last year and it is estimated that this number  will double by 2015. The airport has direct  rail and motorway links to the city centre. The 15km journey takes approximately 20 minutes.

By Car
From M62 (East) - Leave M62 at J12 and join M602 Salford for 4 miles. At motorway end, join A57 Manchester, joining A57M after 1 mile Leave at A34 (signed Congleton), bear left (following signs for Universities), then get into the right hand lane. At traffic lights, turn right into Grosvenor Street, then left onto Oxford Road.

From M62 (West) - Leave the M62 at J18 and join the M60 Ring Road. Leave the M60 Ring Road at J22 and turn right at the traffic lights onto Oldham Road (A62). Continue along until the end of Oldham Road and join Great Ancoats Street (A665) via a sharp left turn. Follow signs for the Universities and join the Mancunian Way (A57M). Take the second exit off the Mancunian Way onto Higher Cambridge Street. Turn left at the next set of traffic lights onto Booth Street West, which joins Oxford Road (B5117) at the Aquatics centre (just to your left).

From M56 - At motorway end, continue along A5103 Manchester for 4 miles. Turn right at traffic lights (signed Whitworth Art Gallery, Museum, Universities). At next lights, (Whitworth Pub) turn left onto Oxford Road, B5117.

From M67 - At motorway end, continue along A57 for approx 3 miles towards City Centre. At roundabout (Apollo theatre on left hand side), take 2nd exit, signposted Universities. It is then approx half a mile to Oxford Road.


By train
Most services run to the larger Manchester Piccadilly Station. From here a taxi costs around £3.00 to the aquatics centre, or walk along the station approach to Piccadilly Gardens bus stop where every bus passes the aquatics centre. Fare around £0.50

Some services run to Manchester Oxford Road, walk down the station approach to Oxford Road, the Aquatics centre is south, to your right. The nearest bus stop is outside the Palace Hotel.


Car parking
Pay and display parking is located in the multi storey car park opposite the aquatics centre. 12 Disabled badge holder spaces are located at the front of the building


Services for disabled spectators
Wheelchair spaces are available with one companion seat each.
A lift is available for wheelchair users.
Guide dogs are permitted.
Accessible toilets.
